FMF's journey began with Flaviana Matata's passion for using education as a transformative tool for girls in Tanzania. Alongside her successful modeling career, she founded FMF to advocate for access to equal education opportunities for young girls. FMF efforts also include advocating for the changing of policies and laws to improve justice and efficiency within the community and government. We focus on enhancing school infrastructure (such as the construction and renovation of latrines, special rooms for girls, hand wash facilities, and incinerators), providing academic scholarships to underserved girls, capacity building on livelihood and business development skills to out-of-school Adolescent girls and young women, raising awareness about Menstrual Health Hygiene, Sexual Reproductive Health, and Gender-Based Violence in schools.
